1st off, deity means a god in a polytheistic religion But many people get this wrong. Many Hindus aren't polytheistic. People of other religions think that there are millions of gods in the Hindu religion. That is technically true, but get this. Hindus believe in one God. It is called the Brahman. The rest of the gods, are not comsidered " Major Gods". The Brahman has 3 major forms. Brahma, Vishnu, ans Shiva. So there you have it. Diety means a god in a polytheistic religion, but MOST Hindus don't believe in dieties.
