The Atacama desert.
Sodium nitrate is accumulated in deserts from Chile and Peru.
The Atacama Desert in Chile is known to have the largest natural source of sodium nitrate. It is extracted from ancient deposits known as caliche ore and has been historically used in fertilizer and explosives production.
Chile is one of the largest exporters of sodium nitrate, also known as Chile saltpeter. The country has significant deposits of this mineral and produces a large portion of the global supply. Other countries that export sodium nitrate include Peru and Bolivia.
It is in the Atacama desert. For a while it was almost exclusively mined there until some scientist or someone found other places to mine it in South America
Chile. However, since the introduction of the Haber process in the early 20th century, many of Chile's mines have been closed and fertilizer production generally involves the use of this artificially produced alternative to mined nitrates.
Sodium Nitrate
If you mean NaNO2 than its name is Sodium Nitrite, commonly used in the curing and preservation of meats and fishSodium Nitrite
Sodium chloride and and sodium nitrate doesn't react.
Sodium nitrate (NaNO3) is more soluble in water compared to sodium chloride (NaCl). Sodium nitrate has a higher solubility due to the presence of more polar nitrate (NO3-) ions in the compound.
NaNO3 is sodium nitrate.
Sodium nitrate is a neutral salt.
