The full title of Lewis Carroll's second Alice novel is Through the Looking-Glass and What Alice Found There. Once she has travelled through the looking glass, she discovers the Looking-glass World, a fantastical place, similar to Wonderland.

Alice found a fantastical world where everything was reversed, with strange and nonsensical occurrences. She had adventures with various characters, such as the Red Queen and Tweedledum and Tweedledee, before waking up to find it was all a dream.

∙ 14y agoThe setting of Through the Looking Glass is never described as 'Wonderland' in the book. It is referred to as the 'Looking-Glass world.'
The word 'Wonderland' doesn't appear in Through the Looking Glass until the poem at the very end, A boat beneath a sunny sky, which describes future children listening to stories and dreaming while "in a Wonderland."
So, although in the popular imagination Alice makes two visits to Wonderland, the Looking-Glass world is a actually different place which even has different laws of physics.
