she was a warrior and she helped people live.
because it was a gift from Athena
not important at all
Athena is important to Greek mythology because she is goddess of wisdom and strategy.
what are some traits of the greek goddess Athena????
Athena is the godess of wisdom so she plans all the battle and war strategies. She would be one of the most important gods/godesses in wars.
Athena was the God of Wisdom and Battle Strategy. She is a virgin but has a child.
Athena is the daughter of Zeus and she is the goddess of wisdom and war
Athens, Greece is named after Athena.
I believe Athena was important to the Athenians because she was the founder of Athens, her city in Greece (Now the capital). She was competing with Poseidon, the Greek God of The Sea and Earthquakes, on who should rule the city. So, they were each presented a gift for the city. Poseidon's Gift was a water spring, and Athena's gift was the Olive Tree. The people agreed that Athena's Olive Tree was better and helped the town more, so they names it after her. They worship her. That is also what created the rivalry between Athena and Poseidon.
Athena was important to the Ancient Greeks because she was the god of Athens, wisdom, weaving and heroic endeavor
She is so important because she watchs over them. But if you are talking about the greek city, ATHENS, then it is obvious since ATHENS was named after ATHENA. In greek mythology, the wisdom goddess Athena and the sea god Poseidon had a rivalry rooting from who the town (now known as athens) would be named Patron of the new city. Athena and Poseidon agreed to have the people decide by giving the newly born city one gift from each of them. Poseidon gave a salt water spring and Athena gave them an olive tree. Athenas gift was deemed much more useful therefore she won.
Athena was the most important, she was Athens patron Goddess. Poisdeon was quite important as well, seeing as he and Athena both wanted Athens, she obviously won.
