Life in Brittan was very tough, so people got hungry, poor and desperate for food to the decided to steel either a loaf of bread or a chicken or a book or a toy for their children who were also hungry and people got thrown in gaol for that and or course the gaols got over crowded an people got sent to Australia and of course there were Aboriginals living here and the convicts and the captain's, governors and more important people like that didn't even care so that is when Australia was transformed from a land of bush to a land or tar roads, shops, restaurants and all thing that we are used to today so it is always good to remember the Aboriginals because we basically took over their land.

After colonisation, Australia was a colony of the British Empire. It was not yet known as Australia. The eastern seaboard was known as New South Wales, and it was this part that became a colony of the British Empire. The western half was known as New Holland, but was not colonised for about four more decades.
