If you have lowered expectations you do not get disappointed if something doesn't work out

Buddha taught that all human suffering is caused by attachments (often mistranslated as desires) to more or less imaginary objects and outcomes. The cure for human suffering, then, is to recognize the illusory nature of the objects and outcomes that one is attached to and thereby remove the attachment. For example, people worldwide have somehow decided that diamonds are valuable. There is no particular reason why diamonds should be valuable - they are, after all, merely stones - but people have decided that they are. Given that, some people become very attached to gathering diamonds to exploit that (rather senseless) value that people place on them, and that attachment to gathering diamonds leads people to enslave entire villages and tribes as mine workers, to fight wars over the control of diamonds, and in general make themselves and others around them utterly miserable, all in the service of collecting rocks. recognize that the value of diamonds is illusory and you lose the attachment to gathering them; lose the attachment to gathering them and a whole range of suffering disappears out of your life.
Buddha taught that the cure for human suffering is a pure life with no "sins". The cause of it is greed, etc.
Actually, he only gave one (root) cause of suffering, craving.
Cure. Only humans can improve the world, but there was much suffering even before humanity existed.
What are your parasites suffering from?
Once he became aware of the suffering of humanity he sought first the cause and then the cure. The cause was desire and the cure was to defeat suffering by the Eightfold path .
It depends what disease or condition they are suffering from.
Buddha is also known as "The Great Physician." This is because he found a cure for the disease of human suffering. By acknowledging the Four Noble Truths and practicing the Eight Fold Path, one can escape the sickness of suffering.
