Charlie Chaplin had a poor childhood with his brother Sydney and mother who struggled to make a living sewing.Charlie Chaplin wanted to be an entertainer and joined William Jackson's Lancashire lads troupe when he was nine years old but felt the fatique in two years. He also worked in workhouses to support the family.He got his first break when he was pushed onto the stage by the manager of the musical hall in London when his mother was jeered by the audience for her singing.The audience liked his comic antics,imitations and singing instead.
