Galileo's theory of motion is principle of inertia. It is basically the same thing as Newton's law of motion since he based it on Galileo. It says that an object will remain still or keep moving in constant speed unless affected by another force.

Galileo was simply intriuged by the fact that two objects of the same shape, though different weights fell at the same speed. Newton was the one to descripe the laws of motion

Well, most people say Sir Isaac newton discovered gravity, but really he just expanded on Galileo's idea. Galileo discovered gravity.
