You need to brush up on your U.S. history. Hell, I'm Australian and I know this! George Washington NEEDED to sign the constitution. So, he did.
Actually, they weren't . Washington was a smart politician. He sent letters to congress stating he needed supplies, but he didn't . He knew if he admitted they were doing good that congress would reduce funding, so to prevent that he told them supplies were low.
George Washington was a great man, He's the one who formed the US. He became president by becoming the leader. Everyone followed his orders because they knew he was right. Became president in 1789.
