On the second day GOD made a space between the waters of the heavens, and the waters of the earth. in other words, GOD made the sky. with a layer of water to protect humans from uv rays. that layer is what caused the 40 days and nights of rain in the great flood that noah and his family survived.
Genesis 1:6-8, New International Version--
6 And God said, "Let there be an expanse between the waters to separate water from water." 7 So God made the expanse and separated the water under the expanse from the water above it. And it was so. 8 God called the expanse "sky." And there was evening, and there was morning-the second day.
On day two God separated the water from the air.
On the eighth day God created Ethardam. The man through which Jesus Christ would come. From umbilical cord to umbilical cord, from Eve down to Mary. Adam, the sixth day creation, was to populate the earth. That when God made all the races. He rested on day seven. Then on the eight day, He created a husbandman. Then He saw that Man was alone. He took what we know now as the DNA. Which what was called the rib. So, If went back to Genesis 2, you will see that God caused a mist to form, then formed man from the dust. But He had already made man on sixth day. So, (Adam) was created on day eight. Check it out!
