"And The Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being." (Genesis 2:7). The Hebrew for man is pronounced aw-dawm, from which Adam is derived. It's also related to aw-dawm-ah, which means red earth, or red clay - indicating the natural earth elements that composed Adam's body, and the body of every human being since.

In the first creation story (Genesis 1:1-2:4a), God merely spoke man into existence.

In the second creation story (Genesis 2:4b-25), God's powers were more limited, and he could not make living things out of nothing. God made Adam out of moist dirt, then breathed life into him. He made all the animals out of moist earth, in the same way, but did not need to breathe life into them. He created Eve out of a rib taken from Adam.

Isaiah 40:26 (NWT) "Raise your eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one of them is missing."

Genesis 2:7 (Darby Translation) "And Jehovah Elohim formed Man, dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and Man became a living soul."

Understanding that God is the source of dynamic energy is a way to help us comprehend how he was able to create us out of "dust", or basically the elements. The chemistry of our body is remarkable and held in place by a massive amount of controlled energy. The "breath of life" is also considered to be a life force, or form of spiritual energy that makes us alive and not inanimate like normal dust is.

What is jesus' relationship to the trinity?

Jesus is a part, one third, of the Trinity. It is composed of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Some have trouble with grasping the concept, but it's much like water. It can exist in liquid form, gas form, and solid form, but it's all H2O. Jesus existed as God. God in heaven. Then at an appointed time He was born as a man. He was fully God and fully man at the same time.
