∙ 11y agoTo love God beyond all else and put him first in your life. You also must keep God's laws. The Bible tells us that the sole duty of man is to keep God's commandments. We must love our neighbors as we do ourselves and study the bible.
The commands of Yahweh (God) are described entirely in the Torah (the first five books of Moses). The two great commands are
Love Yahweh with your heart, mind and strength
Love your neighbor as yourself
The scriptures tell us that to show love is to keep the commands.

∙ 11y agoThe entire reason for Jesus to be on earth was for the salvation of humanity. The human race was destined for hell due to our sinful nature. But God loved us so much He sent His only son to die in our place. Such massive sins required the ultimate sacrafice, no fatted calf or goat would do.
