Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is set in Hogwarts. The only time Harry leaves Hogwarts is to go to Hogsmeade, and to the cave where he and Dumbledore went to find the horcrux.
Albus Dumbledore is a major supporting character in the Harry Potter series, written by JK Rowling. Dumbledore is the headmaster at Hogwarts School of Wizardry, where much of the series takes place.
The school's Head Master

During the years Harry Potter is at the school, Albus Dumbledore was headmaster most of the time. Other headmasters are Dolores Umbridge, Minerva McGonnagal, and Severus Snape.
It isn't. Hogwarts is a fictitious school, from the Harry Potter novels. Many of the people, creatures, and places in Harry Potter are fictitious.
Professor Albus P.W.B. Dumbledore was headmaster of Hogwarts from 1970 until his death in June 1997. As far as is known he held this post continuously apart from briefly in both 1994 and 1996 when he was removed by the School Governors and the Ministry respectively. The first Harry Potter book, with the exception of chapter one (1981), was set in 1991-1992. Therefore during Professor Dumbledore's time as headmaster. In addition to this Dumbledore's position in the school is mentioned regularly throughout the book.
Hogwarts
Most of the 6th book still takes place Hogwarts school. But harry travels to the cave with dumbledore, and the Astronomy tower
He stayed at school over Christmas for the first four years. In his fifth year he was staying at Grimnauld Place, in his sixth year he stayed at the Burrow and he didn't go back for his seventh year.
Elphias "Dodgy" Doge Harry Potter might have been his favourite pupil, but the term 'school friend' means something else: a mate from the same age, who attends the same school.
Harry Potter, as in all the Harry Potter books, attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
