King Henry viii (8th) always wore hats than his crown because it made him look like a gentle man. Also, anybody in his presence weren't allowed to wear a hat.
They wore very rich material, like silks, velvets and furs! They also had padding in the clothes to make them look chubby! They even had padding on the old deriair. (but it depended on what Henry viii wanted them to wear! ;P)

It depends how you look at it. Henry was a Catholic until the Pope refused to grant Henry a divorce. So Henry set up his own church, the Church of England, with Henry being in charge of it.
