In Breaking Dawn Part 1, Jacob's main role is not as large as it was in the other films. Breaking Dawn Part 1 mainly focuses on Bella, Edward, and their soon to be child. The only big scene with Jacob is at the end when he "imprints", uncontrollable wolf ability of giving and receiving love of a human, on Renesmee and protects her against Sam and his pack.
