According to Matt 21:1-7, he told them that "Just as you enter," he said, "you will see a donkey tied there, with its colt beside it. Untie them and bring them here. If anyone asks you what you are doing, just say, 'The Master needs them,' and there will be no trouble." This was done to fulfill the ancient prophecy, "Tell Jerusalem her King is coming to her, riding humbly on a donkey's colt!" The two disciples did as Jesus said, and brought the animals to him and threw their garments over the colt for him to ride on.
Here is the ancient prophecy:
"Rejoice greatly, O my people! Shout with joy! For look--your King is coming! He is the Righteous One, the Victor! Yet he is lowly, riding on a donkey's colt! Zech 9:9

According to the Bible: Jesus entered Jerusalem on a Sunday. Monday, Tuesday He traveled from Jerusalem to Bethany and back. The rest of the week He spent in Jerusalem. Thursday He ate the Passover Feast with His disciples. On Friday He was arrested and tried and crucified. On Sunday He rose from the dead.

Gethsemane is a garden at the foot of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem that is significant in Christianity as the place where Jesus prayed and was arrested before his crucifixion. It is a site of deep spiritual significance for Christians as it represents Jesus' obedience to God's will and his acceptance of his impending sacrifice.
