He showed us the way to regain fellowship with the Father through the Holy Spirit and how to obtain eternal life. now I did not say immortality because no one ceases to exist and be awatre of that existence it is merely a matter of your eternal experience.
Right now most people (any one who has ever sinned, i.e., violated one of God's laws) are speeding their way right into eternal death...life in hell free of the Lord they rejected and all that has to do with Him...a place where they are exactly what they always wanted to be...the lord of their own life....
There is no light there because God created that and you wanted nothing to do with Him...no touch because bodies were His idea...oh yeah your alone for eternity because relationships and others were His idea...ever hungry but not a morsel...ever thirsty but ne'er a drop...burning withn lust never again to feel satidfaction...
Sounds cruel? No sir...your the lord of your own life and nobodies tellin you what to do...go on make your own life...create for yourself...oh you can't? You have no real power? You realize now that you made a mistake and you want another chance? TOO LATE...you had a billion chances God even sent His Son to die in your place so all your sin could be erased but you rejected him...your sin and my sin killed Him but He loved you so much he died on your behalf and you mocked Him and forsook Him and now your sorry?...
See immutable laws cannot be violated there are grave consequences if you jump off a scyscraper you will be road kill...people warn you...there is a sign to stay away from the ledge...someone in love for you even commanded you saying Thou shalt not jump off the scyscraper...in the day that you do you shall surely die...but yo u thought they were just being bossy or threatening you and no one was gonna tell you what to do...just the thought of it makes you insist on jumping....SSppplaaattt!!!
