Matthew 19:18 ....... (1)Thou shalt do no murder, (2)Thou shalt not commit adultery, (3)Thou shalt not steal, (4)Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19:19... (5)Honour thy father and thy mother: and, (6)Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. ;

; Mark 10 : 19 .....(7) Defraud not,

how to love others

1. He Himself is identical with God and is God. Jesus revealed that He is the same as the "I Am" of Exodus 3:14.

2. Christians should 'Love one another' , and He demonstrated what this could mean a short time later by 'laying down His life for His friends'.

3. Service and humility are central not selfish egoism.

4. Jesus Himself is the only way to God.

6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 5. Jesus is the savior of mankind. John 3:16

6. Jesus Himself in both His person and in His works and words is a revelation of the Father.

7. Jesus came to call repentant sinners, not those who are righteous in their own eyes.

8. The way to enter into relationship with God is through the new birth.

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

He taught a lot and all of what he taught is in the Gospels, which are the first 4 books of the New Testament. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were His disciples, and therefore Apostles, and they recorded His journey on earth as well as 4 roles that He played, as each of the four portray the same truth, yet from a different angle or perspective.

He most generally taught about Hell, about which He taught the most, and Heaven, as both are acccording to The Bible as Christ Himself, real places, as well as earth and the life to be had here and within the will of God.

The last comment above relates to what some call His moral teaching, such as the Sermon on the Mount, found in Matthew chapters 5 to 7. Jesus also taught clearly that He is God both by His words and works. He taught with absolute authority (only God can do that) by saying 'verily I say unto you..', He taught that the way to salvation was through believing in Him (which would be heresy if He was not Himself God), He used the 'I Am' formula from Exodus 3:14, which the Jews clearly recognized as a claim to Godhead as they took up stones to throw at Him, and He also forgave sin (which only God can do) as well as accepting worship due to God alone.

Thus, as C. S. Lewis has pointed out, He cannot be viewed as merely a great moral teacher, since He would then also be a liar or a lunatic if He were not truly God as well. The teaching of Jesus, or rather the veracity of it, is therefore inseparable from the truth of His claims about Himself. Particularly clear is His statement from John 14:6

John 14:6 (King James Version)6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If He was not God, then His teaching is not worthy of attention since He was not moral in telling a lie, unless He was self-deceived, and then also not worthy of attention.

His teaching also led Him into conflict with the religious leaders of His day who He taught had wrongly applied the Law to suit themselves. Matthew 23 contains some of the strongest language one can imagine. Calling them a 'brood of vipers' was hardly a compliment.

The Answer his own words:

Here are the beautiful things Jesus taught:

"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." [Matthew. v. 3.] We should consider being poor in spirit as a motivation to get up and prevent the wrongs that are oppressing us. We need to seek happiness for all and we prevent wrong by speaking up.

"Unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other." [Luke vi. 29.] We should work to prevent violence in society by standing up to violence."Him that taketh away thy cloak, forbid not to take thy coat also. Give to every man that asketh of thee, and of him that taketh away thy goods, ask them not again." ["Luke vi. 29, 30.] This is passive resistance to violence.

"Blessed be ye poor, for yours is the kingdom of God." [Luke vi. 20.] But woe unto you that are rich, for ye have received your consolation." [Luke vi. 24.] Jesus believes that rich people have received their consolation in this lifetime, but will not receive it in heaven. Be warned that those preaching material success for Christians are leading you far from the teachings of Jesus. It is a vice to be rich, and a virtue to be be poor and to share one's cloak and coat with another. Those who seek money on TV are not preaching the words of Jesus. [Luke xvi. 19-31.]

He affirms it is more difficult for a rich man to get into heaven, than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. [Luke xviii. 25.] Be content with our holy life for we will be compensated in Heaven, do not seek riches, for the result will be a falling away from the purity of Jesus's teachings. We should, though, investigate poverty, and seek to find cures and prevent sickness.

"Blessed are ye that hunger now, for ye shall be filled." [Luke vi. 21.] The life we lead following the teachings of Jesus will fill us as we realize that a pure and simple life without riches will be the most satisfying and honest life.

"Woe unto you that are full, for ye shall hunger." [I Luke vi. 25.] We should prevent wrongs passively and those that have will be brought around to our point of view.

"Blessed are ye that weep now, for ye shall laugh," [Luke vi. 21.] There is a season for all things and do not fear for the purity of life will be with you eventually. Life contains all emotions, and the pure life will contain the most laughter.

"Blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted." [Matthew v. 4.] Life always contains mourning, but the follower of Jesus will find comfort among companions. Fear not.

"Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." [Matthew xix. 19.] Do not forget the power of love to heal and change. Speak of your love and call happiness and companionship around you.

"If any man come unto me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple" [Luke xiv. 26.] True happiness will come from following all of the teachings of Jesus.

"Think not that I am come to send peace bn earth; I came not to send peace, but a, sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, and a man's foes they shall be of his own household." [Matthew x. 34-36.] Be prepared to meet resistance to the teachings of Jesus.

"Every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands for my sake, shall receive an hundred fold, and shall inherit everlasting life." [Matthew xix. 29.] Do not fear the ramifications of the teachings of Jesus, as the truth will be evident by leading the pure life.

"He that believeth and is bapiized shall be saved, but he that believeth not, shall be damned."? [Mark xvi. 16.] The damnation will be eternal for the rich as they will be denied true happiness.

"Go not into any way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not," [Matthew x. 5.] Do not fear the Jews, as they are with us in the Kingdom of heaven.

"Joy shall be in Heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons which need no repentance." [Luke xv. 7.] Few will take the path of Jesus.

"For, I say unto you, that unto every one which hath shall be given, and from him that hath not, even that which he hath shall be taken away from him. But those, mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring them hither, and slay them before me." [Luke xix. 26, 27.] This statement was not made by Jesus but by those who cannot understand forgivenes and grace. Use your mind to recognize this as contrary to everything for which Jesus stood.

"Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels." [Matthew xxv. 41.] This statement is not consistant with Matthew 3 above and was added by those who wish to apply cruelty to the kindness of Jesus. Jesus turns the other cheek, he does not punish. Punishment serves no purpose but revenge, and Jesus has absolutely no need for revenge under any circumstance.

"Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life." [John vi. 27.] Punishment and revenge do not endure. Focus on simplicity and honesty and living pure. Grace will be your reward, and grace is incompatible with the hoarding of riches.

"But seek ye first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." [Matthew vi. 25-33.] The gifts of Jesus will come of the pure life. The righteousness is standing up for fairness and honesty, passively resist wrong and all things will be added to you.

With his last words, "My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?" Jesus quotes the first lines of Psalm 22, which answers the question of why it appears that he has been forsaken, and points to the comfort of the famous 23rd Psalm. This act is profound and shows he was thinking of us even as he gave up the ghost. Do not misinterpret the last words of Jesus. They give you the gift of knowing God is with you always, even in the worst of times.

"And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." [Mark 16:15-20.] Peace and love are found on the path that Jesus leads us.

Another View:

Jesus taught about many things as was quoted by some below. However there was one main point that Jesus taught about while he was here. We know this because in the scriptures when Jesus was on the earth after being tempted by Satan he went into the synagogue and made and announcement quoting from the scriptures. In that announcement he proclaimed exactly what he will be teaching while on earth. This can be found in (Luke 4:18-19). In this scripture Jesus said that he has been sent forth to "declare the good news to the poor".

So what was the "good news"? In Matthew 4:23 Jesus has just recruited

the first four disciples, this verse begins a brief summary of an introduction to Jesus' ministry in Galilee that will be recounted in the next several chapters. In Matthew 4:23 its quoted that Jesus went "teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news or gospel of the Kingdom". This Kingdom that he was preaching about is the very Kingdom he instructed us to pray about in the "Lord's Prayer" or the "Model Prayer". In Matthew 6:10 Jesus, telling us how to pray says the following "Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." So this is "GODs Kingdom" he was talking about. This is the heavenly government that will rule over the entire earth and will bring endless blessing to obedient human beings as predicted in Daniel 2:44! This is the Kingdom we are instructed to pray about every day because this was Jesus' primary message when on earth. The "good news of GODs Kingdom".

And this message did not originate from Jesus. Jesus stated the

following in John 7:16 "Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me." So this is JEHOVAH GODs message. Jesus knew that his father(JEHOVAH) wanted humans to hear the good news of the Kingdom.

You might be surprised that this kingdom message is still being preached

in our day just as Jesus and his disciples and the 1st century Christians preached in their day from house to house. Acts 5:42 quotes the following, "And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ."

Jesus' teachings alarmed many people. Some people complained to the Romans that Jesus was teaching that God was greater than the emperor.

Jesus taught many things, books are written about the things he taught. One of the things he taught was that you must be born again to enter the kingdom of God

John 3:3 Jesus answered, "I am telling you the truth: no one can see the Kingdom of God without being born again."
John 3:4 "How can a grown man be born again?" Nicodemus asked. "He certainly cannot enter his mother's womb and be born a second time!"
John 3:5 "I am telling you the truth," replied Jesus, "that no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit.
John 3:6 A person is born physically of human parents, but is born spiritually of the Spirit.

People are spiritually dead, and must be born again spiritually to see God's kingdom.
