I only surmise that He taught them about themselves, what they were capable of, the reason he chose them. When they were ready he taught them His gospel and saw that they were ready to feed the other sheep that were lost. Meaning those who had not heard of Christ and His gospel.
He taught them little by little, precept upon precept until they all became coverted to His gospel and were ready to go out into the world.
He told them about His forthcoming death but they were to carry His words to the four corners of the earth.
I would think he would teach them to be christ like. In loving and serving everyone. A life is found in losing it for the life of Christ.
He taught his disciples how to love. In this, he showed them the main basis of Christianity. The thing that Christianity and Judaeism revolves around is love. He not only taught them this, but lessons on how to display the love he showed them. For it is said in The Bible, in John 13:35, "By all this, all men will know you are my disciples, if you love one another."
JESUS told His disciples to preach the word of GOD,and to baptize the people who believe in the name of GOD,the Son and the Holly Spirit, also to alert the people that the kingdom of GOD is really very near in time so they should be ready...and all the principles that were set by JESUS.
Matt 28:19,20 tells us Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."
This is a command given by Jesus to his disciples, and we are still to do the same today. Go and make disciples.
God's Kingdom was the central focus of Jesus Christ's preaching work and it is also what he commanded his disciples to teach people of all nations about.
Matthew 24:14 - "And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
Matthew 28:19,20 - "Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things."
Worship only God the Father, and love thy neighbor as thyself.
He said to them go into the world and preach the gospel. This is recorded in Mark 16 verse 15. This action was to prepare the disciples for evangelism.
Jesus teach his disciples the primary rules of. "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." (John 15:12 RSV)
Yes when the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray . He then taught them the OUR FATHER.
the disciples of Jesus
Not just believe in Jesus as many Churches teach as Scripture says even the demons believe. But disciples are to be 'imitators' of Jesus as our perfect model.
The twelve disciples and all who believe their message. That means you and me if we believe in Jesus.
He told them to go and make disciples.
According to Jesus the holy spirit would help the disciples and comfort them.
They folllowed Jesus and preached to others
Jesus told his disciples on a couple of occasions to tell no man of what they had seen - as in - Then charged he his disciples that they should tell no man that he was Jesus the Christ. (Matthew 16.20) And - And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead. (Matthew 17.9)
I can't find anywhere in the NT where Jesus told his disciples to bring their first fruits
Actually it was Jesus that told the women to tell his disciples meet him in Galilee, (Matthew 28.10)
