Louis XIV was succeeded by his great-grandson, Louis XV, who was the sole surviving male heir to the French throne (aside from Louis XIV's grandson, Philippe, Duc d'Anjou, who was now King of Spain as Philip V) after a smallpox epidemic in Paris had decimated most of the French royal family. Louis XV was born Louis, Duc d'Anjou, and was the son of Louis, duc de Bourgogne, a grandson of Louis XIV.
On his deathbed, Louis XIV was reported to have said: "Je m'en vais, mais l'État demeurera toujours." ("I am going away, but the State will always remain"). Although he was dying of gangrene, and not small pox, the sole male heir was considered far too important to risk infection, and was not anywhere near the dying king. The only people present at his deathbed were a priest officiating last rites, and a few of his close advisors.
Louis the xiv passed on a near bankrupt country.
On his deathbed, Louis XIV gave his great, great-grandson, the Dauphin, some advice. "Try to remain at peace with your neighbors."
This is probably the best advice that he can give to an heir to the throne. The reason being, Louis XIV was at war for so long, that he must’ve realized it’s much easier to be at peace with the people than to be at odds with them. His conversation with the soon to be heir went lil this:
“Soon,” Louis said to the boy, “you will be King of a great kingdom. I urge you never to forget your obligations to God; remember that you owe Him everything. Try to remain at peace with your neighbors. I have loved war too much. Do not copy me in that, or in my overspending. Take advice in everything; try to find out the best course and always follow it. Lighten your people’s burden as soon as possible, and do what I have had the misfortune not to do myself.” - Louis XIV
Constantine, if he converted to Christianity at all, was a death bed convert. He never lived a Christian life and many scholars question the story of his becoming a Christian. The conversion of an emperor such as Constantine was a great propaganda tool for use by the early Christians. That much we know.

The bed spring was invented by Louis Frank, in the late 1800s, or early 1900s. This was my great grandfather.
After they were captured they were sent to their own death bed to die.

louis XIV both reigned and lived longer than any other King, and died peacefully in his bed. louis XVI, on the other hand, was guillotined in the Place de la Révolution (now Place de la Concorde). Read all about it in www.eyewitnesstohistory.com/louis.htm
They had to do tasks that were asked to do by Louis XIV. The tasks included helping him dress in the morning, going hunting with him, perfoming the ceremonies of the coury and handing him his nightshirt when he went to bed.

Louis fell out of bed
Nobody did, France was a ship without a captain and there was great turmoil since after the Terror had broken out. The Directory was the organ that was supposed to rule France, but failed bitterly. Eventually it was Napoleon Bonaparte who committed a coupe and ruled France (10 years after the revolution had broken out).
This is somewhat of a long and drawn explanation. Louis XIV built Versailles for more than one reason. The two prominent reasons being that he wanted to show the world his power and riches through architecture, and to maintain control over the French nobles.Louis XIV had an interesting way of keeping the nobles there. He would call them one at a time, explaining a desire meet with them, and then he would continue to postpone them. He wanted to call them there without actually telling them it was to maintain power. This not only kept the nobles where he could see them, it also had the nobles at each others throats to please him and and caused fighting among them. This constant state of contention and bickering kept them from allying together against him in an attempt to overthrow him. It is honestly too bad that Louis XIV did not come about sooner, as Julius Caesar could have really learned something from him. Also, this question is tagged under "French Revolution". Due to the fact that this is a question regarding Louis XIV, it implies that you are referring to the time of Louis' reign/life time. Louis XIV was born in September of 1638, his coronation was in June of 1654, and died in September of 1715. The French Revolution was from the years 1789 to 1799, almost 70 years after the death of Louis XIV.
• Louis xiv died form gangrene. Gangrene can be caused by any number of things, including diabetes, poor blood circulation possibly due to a weak heart or bed sores, or bacterial infection. But any specific cause on why Louis may have gotten gangrene would just be speculation.
