after bahadur shah zafar's defeat after fighting with the british his son mirza mughal took his remaining army and faced the british and he was defeated and he hid near humayun's tomb and colonel William hodson surrounded humayun's tomb with 100 horsemen.mirza mughal and his brother accepted defeat but his cousin and his son did not accept defeat.the rebels joined mirza mughal to fight against the british after a small skirmish mirza mughal was escorted to delhi by 10 horsemen and he was ordered to strip naked and he was shot by colonel William hodson. he set an example of bravery
