Nubians are an ethno-linguistic group of people who are indigenous to the region which is now present-day northern Sudan and southern Egypt. They originate from the early inhabitants of the central Nile valley, believed to be one of the earliest cradles of civilization.[7] They speak Nubian languages, part of the Northern Eastern Sudanic languages.
Kush was probably a kingdom in parts of present day southern Egypt and Sudan. They don't know for certain where it was, but most scholars think that it was somewhere south of present day Israel. Some say it was Ethiopia, others hold with the Egypt/Sudan theory.
The first people to inhabit the present-day region of Sudan were the Meroitic people.
