Johnson was sworn in on the President's aircraft.Technically, it was not Air Force One until he was sworn in as AF1 is not the name of the aircraft, but the call sign of any airplane carrying the President of the United States.

Johnson didn't die in office. Richard Nixon was president when Johnson died over three years after he left the White House, of a massive heart attack, the last in a series. He was found dead by Secret Service agents, in his bed, with a telephone receiver in his hand. The agents were responding to a desperate call Johnson had made to the Secret Service compound on his ranch January 22, 1973. His death came the day before a ceasefire was signed in Vietnam.
