Prince William has repeatedly said in interviews that he thoroughly enjoyed his years at Eton, and this would seem to be borne out by his parents' decision to send his younger brother Harry there, too. This was a break from Royal family tradition, since his father and grandfather both attended Gordonstoun.
Furthermore, the paparazzi left William and Harry alone to pursue their studies, and William did especially well, which allowed him to gain entry to one of Britain's most-respected, and oldest, Universities: St. Andrews.
Entrance to Eton is subject to a rigorous entrance examination which both boys passed, and there is no record of either 'not liking' anything in particular about the school. indeed they both joined in non-obligatory activities such as the school's military cadets corp.
Prince William graduated from St. Andrew's University in 2005.
