Well, anecdotal evidence suggests that Rosa Parks husband often referred to her as his "boo." However, in his later years, Mr. Parks would call her "the bus lady" because he had severe Alzheimer's and couldn't always remember her name. He might not have been able to remember her name, but he could always remember that valiant act of bravery all those years ago. So, really, "the bus lady" was a term of endearment.
