Rosa Parks worked as a seamstress in Montgomery, Alabama. She was tired and very angry so Rosa sat in the front of the bus. The rule was all blacks sit in the back of the bus and if they run out of seats and a white person gets on they have to give up their seat.

A white man got on he wanted the seat Rosa was in the bus driver said "Get up". Rosa said "No" in a soft little voice. The bus drivers ask again she still said no. The Bus driver called the police and the police took Rosa to jail.
