What did Sparta teach its students?

in Sparta, boys and girls were educated seperately (yes the girls did receive an education!!!) at age seven the boys were taken from their family home and entered into an educational system known as the agoge. they were apart of this system till they were 60 years of age (if they lived that long) both boys and girls were taught not to fear death and to see it as a natural occurance. the boys were taught to fare for themselves and live off the land and girls were taught to read and cook and dance. there was a lot of emphasis on physical fitness and the children were encouraged to be active. there was a lot of emphasis on team buliding also
