Squanto traveled to Europe as a captive by traders, where he eventually learned English and gained experiences that allowed him to return to America and act as a translator and mediator for the Pilgrims. This helped establish a relationship between the Native Americans and the English settlers.
Squanto was about 29 years old when he was kidnapped by an English explorer named Thomas Hunt.

There is no evidence of Squanto's Indian family. Squanto was kidnapped when he was a young boy by a Spanish man named Captain George Weymouth. George took Squanto to England. Squanto lived with Ferdinando Gorges. Ferdinando raised him until he returned to the United States.
Squanto learned English and he also learned how to plant more things and and grow them good. Sqanto learned life long lessons.
He believed in the sun god and moon god and all of those other gods a child. As a child, Squanto was kidnapped and during his time prisoner, he became a Christian and he was until he died
