I am not sure what you want to know. Jefferson was not an explorer, although, he figuratively explored the many subjects that he was interested in, such as natural science, architecture, political science, music, technology and foods. As President, he engaged Lewis and Clark to explore the new Louisiana Purchase, made at his urging.
