Don Tristan de Luna was a spanish conquistador in the 16th century. When came back to the New Spain he was sent to conquer Florida. He established a colony called Pensacala.

As with a lot of records concerning the conquistadors, details are very sketchy. I did find one author that gave the date of de Luna's death as September 16th 1573, but others give only the year of his death, and that is 1571.
