Vesaluis Wrote a book called "On the Structure of the Human". He argued that through dissection (of Humans and Animals) that you could directly observe what happened in nature and that this was better than reading books. Many people thought at the time that this was sinful but his recorded observations became the basis for the modern science of Biology.
