1864, 2 years before the battle of Hastings's. If more info is required please ask. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I was doing my history essay and i needed info like this but the battle of Hastings was in 1066 and between 1066 and 1864 is a 798 year difference and unless Harold was a ghost, then he whouldn't have been alive then.
The battle of Hastings was on a hill because Harold set up his army in that tactical position. Behind the hill was a dense wood that nobody could go through and in front of the hill the Normans would have to climb up. It was Harold's desicion. Please recommend for more answers.

William the Great may refer to several historical figures, such as William the Conqueror of Normandy. His immediate successor was his son, William II of England. However, if you are referring to another historical figure known as William the Great, please provide more context for a specific answer.

Yes, it was, because it was told from the point of view of the Normans, who won the war. There are a lot of images telling how Harold betrayed William of Normandy.
