The most famous arena is the Colosseum in Rome, whose real name was Flavian Amphitheatre. Most of them were slaves. Most belonged to the gladiator trainers and some of them were bought by rich men because owning a gladiator was prestigious. They lived and trained at the gladiatorial schools.
