they want revenge
they want revenge
To be fair and considerable
Because they did not want to get too involved in the war. They were afraid of the central powers.
Both the allies and central powers tried to gain support of the Americans by using campaigns and propagandas. I know you use this because it's an easier way to get answers, but be careful. There are people out there that just want to mess around. And, anybody can edit the truth.
Because they had caused so much damage. WW I was an extremely expensive war. From the Allied viewpoint, they didn't want a war, it was forced on them by the aggression of the Central Powers (who, of course, would have had blamed the Allies if they had a chance to do so, but since the Central Powers lost the war, it wasn't up to them to decide who was to blame). Since Germany and Germany's allies caused the Allies such an enormous expense, the Allies wanted to be compensated for it. It is the same principle, but on a much larger scale, as any lawsuit seeking to recover damages. If someone breaks your window, you would like them to pay for a new window. If someone throws all of the world into chaos, you want them to pay for that, too.
The allied leaders want Germans punished for the suffering they had inflicted on the rest of Europe.
Because They didn't want to be involved in any affairs of another country and not to favor any specific side. However, The U.s does end up favoring the Allied Powers.
