What did ancient Greece read?

The language the Greeks used was a form of Greek, and there was actually a lot of content for them to read, especially during the Golden Age of Athens. The Iliad and The Odyssey were possible choices, as well as histories of the Persian Wars (written by Herodetus), histories of the Peloponnesian War (Thucidides), and many dramas, comedies, and tragedies.
