In Eclipse, Edward sees that Bella also loves Jacob, and that Bella will have to make a decision and he may lose her. When Seattle isravaged by an army of newborn vampires, Edward does all in his power to keep Bella save. Edward is amazed when Bella agrees to marry him. Eventually, with help from Alice and Jasper, Edward and The Cullens manage to convice the Volturi the baby isn't dangerous.
