If I'm not mistaken, Anne Frank's family is Jewish, therefore don't celebrate Hanukkah.
Well in reality, she received her diary on her 13th birthday by her dad Otta Frank.

She was positive. She looked on the bright side of things. And when it was christmas/hannukah she gave presents and sang the song/made everyone sing it.
