King George III may have been a fool, but he wasn't STUPID; I'm certain that he knew that it was the American colonists who dumped the taxable British tea into the harbor, making it "unsuitable for drinking, even by Americans".
the Boston tea party was before we even had a president and independence.
The Coercive Act is a punishmet for the Boston Tea party. The colonist paid for the tea they had dumped. They sent even more British soldiers to Boston and forced colonists to house and feed them.

Before the Boston Tea Party were the taxes of the colonial people. The saying "taxation without representation" comes from this time period. The colonial americans were paying an incredibly high amount of taxes BUT they were not allowed to have a representative in parliament. There were taxes on everything, paper, tea, etc. When tea started being taxed, the colonists had enough, so they dumped it overboard in the act called the Boston Tea Party.
The Boston Massacre was a clash between British troops and townspeople in Boston in 1770, before the Revolutionary War. The British troops fired into a crowd that was threatening them, killing five. The soldiers had been sent to help the British government maintain order and were resented even before the incident. The killing of the townpeople increased the colonists' inclination toward revolution. LALALALALALA
The intolerable acts were laws passed by Britain before the colonies became independent. It was caused by the Boston tea party. ...so the British closed the Boston harbor. plus they sent Thomas Gage to rule the area. The Stamp act was also passed. They also made the colonists quarter British soldiers.
One of the grevances the colonists had with Great Britain was the imposition of taxes on various goods, including tea. The Sons of Liberty decided to protest. They dressed as indians, boarded several merchant ships in Boston Harbor and dumped the tea overboard. This made the tea undrinkable, even for Americans.
The americans were mad that the british were taxing them on everything, even tea, and dumped the tea into the boston harbor in protest.
