Best Answer

yes, Mars did look like the earth. It had liquid water on it. It does not look like earth anymore because the core of the planet cooled down and when that happened it lost its magnate field. The core cooled down faster than earth because mars is small the earth. The earth and mars will die the same way.

Did there used to be life on Mars?

It is unknown. What has been proven though is that Mars used to have an atmosphere similar like earth (this is necessary to support life) also it is possible that mars has had liquid water before (pressure is needed to keep it in liquid form, and pressure comes from atmospheres), which is also necessary for life, as far as we know. (dried up riverbeds and channels are found on mars surface). in addition to the possible past liquid water, it is also a theory that mars has water still, wether in gas or solid form underneath the surface. A possible fossilized rock has been found as well. the rock has not been proven to be an actual fossil, but many people think it is fossilized bacteria, or in other words, life. If it IS bacteria, it is does not necessarily prove that it came from mars though. It could have come from earth due to the theory that mars and earth collided in early years, or come from earth from an impact big enough to send rock into space, then mars pulled it with its gravity. it is possible that it has come from another planet/object as well. Life on Mars is a big mystery. Mars is the planet most like earth, and the planet most likely to be able to support life as well, but it is still unproven that there has been life on mars, or even if there IS life on mars.

What does terrestrail mean?

Well, we like to call it a sister planet, but yes - it is. Many scientists believe that mars used to look very similar to earth, and have evidence that it used to possess a similar atmosphere and a plentiful supply of water.

Which planet's temperature suggests that there was or is living life there?

Mars and Venus are the two planets that possibly had life. Venus is thought to have been much cooler back then and have an atmosphere similar to that of Earth, as well as liquid water. Mars has a good enough temperature currently, and ancient Mars was thought to be like a clone of Earth today. You could say Venus Earth and Mars are the three (or used to be) triplet planets.

What does mars Venus and earth have anything to do with the Goldilocks syndrome?

Goldilocks's porridge was not too hot, not too cold but just right. The Earth is not too hot (like Venus) and not too cold (like Mars), but just right. It isn't surprising because life developed on Earth so it got used to the conditions at an early stage.

Which planet is related to Earth?

All the inner planets and the most related one is possibly Venus because that Venus is about the same size as earth. Many people say Venus because of the size but its Mars. If there was any other planet to survive on it would be Mars. Mars has valleys and mountains and its temperature isn't that much of a difference from Earth, or it isn't a dramatic change like Venus's. It has some oxygen and it used to have water or it does i cant remember. And scientists have found fossilized bacteria on Mars so it proves Mars can support life.

How do you see mars on earth?

Through HUGE! telescopes used for major purposes i think.
