I wouldn't really consider them a 1950's style. Today, most jeans are unisex in their basic design, meaning the zipper is in the front. In the 50's ladies jeans were distinctive in that the zipper was placed on the side and ran from the waist down to almost mid-thigh. Only men's jeans had fly zippers in the front (for obvious reasons).
