The main mission of Apollo 11 was to land on the moon, collect some rocks and soil samples, put out a reflector to measure the exact distance between the earth and the moon, and to put a device to measure moonquakes. Armstrong and Aldrin were not sent to the moon to look for anything specific. They were just sent there to see if it was possible to land on the moon and walk on it for a few minutes and return safely to the earth.
The other 5 lunar landing missions were sent to specific areas to search for specific things.
