they went cow tipping :) duh you didnt know that that is like the best time.. they also walked 5 miles to school and back in the 30 ft of snow with one shoe on. They also lived in one story houses with one bedroom so the children had to sleep with the dog outside. or in the dryer. And they rode there bikes through the mud and then ate some for supper because they were hungry. They also ate leaves and sticks

By the end of the 50's television was present in about 90% of the homes, and watching TV was the favorite leisure activity of nearly half of the U.S. Otherwise, people would go to the movie theater, read books, listen to the radio, play cards, have friends and family over for dinner parties and such.
