People thought that in some ways that Charles being executed was a good thing because he did lots of bad things like commiting Treason on his own country, he satrted the civil war against parliament and when he was prisoned for his crimes he tried sending Scotland down into England with an army to take back England.

Why was Charles the first executed?

Charles I was executed for supposedly committing reason against his own country ( England) however the court who decided his fate were all against him, 135 people were invited to the courtroom to be the deciders of his fate but only 68 people turned up which shows that a lot of people didn't think it was right to put him on trial. In the end Charles was executed on the 30th of January 1649. Hope this helps, it came from the top of my head as Iearnt in history years ago, but I assure you it is reliable. :)

Did Charles 1 name the Amazon River?

I doubt that he even knew the Amazon River existed. Charles I was executed by Oliver Cromwell in 1649 (I think it was) and had no time to even think about the Amazon River - let alone to name it!!

Charles Manson behavior?

People think that Charles Manson is bipolar, but I personally think that his behavior shows intelligence. His quotes is what made me start to think this. Being bipolar has nothing to do with intelligence. A person can be both. Charles Manson had limited use for his intelligence in his developing years and a very rough life, which apparently drove him into negative use of his intelligence.

Why was King James executed?

No. You are probably thinking of King Charles I (1600 - 1649), son of James I and father of James II. During the English Civil War (1641 - 1651), the army of Royalists loyal to the king, were eventually defeated by the Parliamentarian army loyal to Oliver Cromwell. Charles I was tried for treason to the people and executed on 30 January 1649 outside the Banqueting House in Whitehall, London. He was very brave, and wore two shirts because he did not want people to think he was shivering with fear. In 1660, his son, Charles II, was returned to the throne as king within two years of Cromwell's death, and the monarchy restored (the Restoration).
