I'm a male with long hair about 6 in below my shoulders. I must say I couldn't live without hot curlers. A good set wiil heat up fast and allowes you to continue geetting ready as they are cooling which saves alot of time. The sets come with different sizes and different number of curlers depending on what your needs are. I have alot of hair and use a set that has 30 assorted curlers. I use about 28 each time I curl my hair (which is daily) and have the most awesome head of curls that stay in all day for me.
