But some general common traits research has shown is that those who suffer from anorexia will also suffer from other mental disorder, mostly commonly depression, OCD, and body dimorphic disorder (BDD). Many anorexics tend to isolate themselves, and many also have perfectionistic personalities. A large percentage also abuse alcohol, drugs, or cigarettes. Studies are looking into possible relations between the mental states of anorexia and the mental state of addiction.
