The Pearl Handed Pistol :)
RW and Melvin wanted TJ to go with them to the mercantile because they believed his presence would make it easier for them to falsely accuse him of stealing. They wanted to frame TJ in order to avoid getting in trouble themselves.
Mrs. Logan explains that RW and Melvin have a different relationship with TJ because they see him as a good friend while the rest of the class sees him as someone who caused trouble and got Stacey in trouble. TJ manipulates RW and Melvin by exploiting their trust and friendship to serve his own selfish purposes.
They are only acting like his friend because they want him to help them rob people's homes. When they got caught they end up killing Jim Lee Barnett.
RW and Melvin were bullying TJ, often targeting him verbally and physically. They would mock him, push him around, and make him feel isolated from others. Their actions highlighted issues of peer pressure and the impact of bullying on individuals. This behavior created a toxic environment for TJ, exacerbating his feelings of insecurity and loneliness.
TJ brings RW and Melvin to the revival to witness firsthand the power and influence of the preacher, believing it will help them to see things in a different light and possibly change their ways. He hopes that the experience will inspire them to reflect on their actions and make positive changes in their lives.
Because they convinced him to go there with them. They were going to get him the pearl handed pistol but the mercantile was closed to they broke in because they didn't want to go back home with nothing. Then they robbed money and knocked out Mr barnett and mrs barnett. Then TJ wants to go home but they wont let him and when TJ threatens to tell everyone that it was them who robbed the mercantile, they beat him up realy bad and throw him in the back of their truck.
Beating him up. They act as his friends but really was just playing with him.
He gets the Logans mother fired, and he becomes friends with RW and Melvin then steals a pistol
Rw and Melvin want T.J. to go to Strawberry with them because they see it as an opportunity for adventure and excitement. They believe that T.J.'s presence would enhance their experience, making it more enjoyable and fun. Additionally, T.J. often looks up to them, and they want to include him in their plans to bond and assert their social status.
He does not get hanged or shot. he goes to jail at the end of the book and ends up on the chain gang for a crime he did not commit.
A TJ is a Wrangler they just say Wrangler because they've changed the designation from CJ to YJ to TJ. The difference for example is a YJ is 1996 and older and a TJ is newer than 1996. The model differences come when they say TJ Sport or Sahara or Rubicon (for instance)
Tj could stand for "temperature junction," which refers to the temperature at a specific point in an electronic component like a transistor or integrated circuit.
