The Battle of New Orleans was a battle against America and British. America was a new country, but England wanted to take over it. They decided to try to take New Orleans, Louisiana. They wanted to do this because New Orleans had the Mississippi River running through it. If they took over that, they could control who goes into the river. The Americans declared war. The British thought that they didn't have all the supplies they needed. That's when pirates and Native Americans came and told them that they were going to help win the battle.
