He became emperor of Chin at the age of 9.

He was victorious in a series of wars over the next 20 years.

Began connecting, widening and lengthening the Great Wall of China in 214BC.

Unified money, measurement, tools and writing among the unified

smaller nations. Became the model of government that became China.

He died at the age of 40, only 4 years after beginning the connection of

the Great Wall.

On the other hand, he was a cruel tyrant. He forced Prisoners, Soldiers

and farmers to work as slaves on the Great Wall. He stationed guards

to force the workers beyond their stamina. Hungry, Thirsty and tired many

of the workers died and were buried in the foundation of the Great Wall.

He had many of the books to be burned and their authors were killed. Only

books of medicine, farming and books written in the province of Chin were

saved.

Evidently he wanted to be honored in death more than in life. He had an

elaborate tomb built for himself. Along with the tomb there has been found

a virtual army of ceramic soldiers has been dug up by Archaeologists. Each

soldier has a unique face and uniform. Horses and carriages are also a

part of the display. All this is now open to visitors.
