To spread the gospel to the entire world.

To testify that Jesus is the Messiah, basically. The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. We wish to invite the whole world to try and join. We also wish to accomplish exaltation, meaning we are given the knowledge and power of God in the life after this one. We also set out to accomplish spreading the knowledge that families can be together forever, by getting sealed in the temple, there is no "til death do you part"
