Ancient Egyptians showcased their wealth through lavish tombs, elaborate burial rituals, and the use of expensive materials like gold and precious stones in jewelry and artifacts. They adorned their homes with intricate decorations and engaged in luxurious feasts and entertainment. Additionally, their clothing, often made from fine linen and embellished with jewelry, served as a clear indicator of social status and affluence.
Most ancient cultures used holes dug in the ground or a container-like bucket. This was in an area set off by itself. Ancient cultures did not have porcelain toilets.

First off, there is technically no participial phrase in the sentence currently, for participial phrases must be set off by commas. If commas were included at the appropriate places to indicate a participial phrase, though, the sentence would read, "Simple jewelry, left behind by ancient Egyptians, can be very valuable today." The participial phrase in this case is "left behind by ancient Egyptians," because it modifies the subject (jewelry), is set off by commas, and is not a sentence in itself.
The ancient Egyptians believed in a variety of rituals and practices to ward off evil spirits. They used amulets inscribed with protective spells, performed elaborate ceremonies, and invoked the names of gods to ensure safety. Additionally, they often placed offerings in tombs and homes to appease spirits and keep malevolent forces at bay. Incantations and the use of sacred objects were also common methods to expel or protect against evil influences.

Egyptians live in homes made of brick. These bricks are made of mud, cattle and camel feces, straw, reed, and sometimes the inside walls of the house are covered with clean sheets of papyrus. These homes can be built in the shape of teepees or rectangles with a circular roof. Egyptians put symbols or signs on their front door or on the ground where you enter their home. They also cover their door with camel feces for good luck and to ward off bad luck. Hanging dead rodents or fish on the outside of the door is another way they ward off bad luck. They also cover the floors inside their house with feces and leave emaciated rats in the corners.
